Built on gufo
Bubo is a fork of gufo, the open-source LLM server. The gufo authors wrote the upstream server and release it under the MIT license. The Windows port comes from pixmaateâs gufo fork.
The name
Halowin joins Halo, from Strix Halo, and Windows. Bubo is a genus of owls. Gufo is the Italian word for owl.
The owl in the logo is the Egyptian hieroglyph for owl (G17), drawn from the Noto Sans Egyptian Hieroglyphs font under the SIL Open Font License. The text of this site is set in ET Book, by Dmitry Krasny, Bonnie Scranton and Edward Tufte, under the MIT license.
